Beginner Friendly Vinyasa Yoga

Details: Tuesdays 6 pm - 7 pm

St Mary’s Parish Centre - 43 Station Rd, Burley in Wharfedale, Ilkley LS29 7JL

  • This class is a slower paced, more gentle version of my strength classes. It is designed to help you build strength, flexibility, and resilience in your body, so you can move more freely and enjoy your life. Whether it’s keeping up with your children, taking on new activities, or simply reducing tension from daily life, this class gives you the tools to feel better in your body and face life’s challenges with more ease. Through a balance of dynamic movement and restorative pauses, you’ll gain confidence, build mental and physical strength, and feel more adaptable in your body and mind.

Strength & Power Vinyasa Fusion

Details: Wednesdays 9:30am & Sundays 10:15 am - 11:15 am

Evolution Gracie Jiu Jitsu, 65 E Parade, Ilkley LS29 8JP

  • This is a Vinyasa yoga class with an element of power yoga.

    Why it’s different:

    • Twists and transitions are taught with a focus on core strength and stability, rather than just flexibility.

    • You’ll use techniques that encourage stabilisers to switch on, so your body learns to support itself under pressure.

    • Dynamic movements are woven into the flow to build stamina, precision, and endurance.

    • The class is influenced by insights from leading movement and strength experts, while keeping things practical and accessible.

    The benefits:

    • Release tightness while building strength where you need it most

    • Improve control under fatigue by training stabilisers and core endurance

    • Develop awareness of which muscles are really driving your movement

    • Enhance mobility, balance, and strength without overloading your spine

    • Reduce injury risk, improve recovery, and move more dynamically in sport and life

    Who it’s for:
You don’t need to have done yoga before. I give variations for those just starting out and those wanting more advanced poses, so if you want to turn up the level, move with more control, and build strength in ways your usual training misses, this class is for you.
